Assignment Task Description:
You are required to write an essay of not more than 1500 words excluding the Reference section, on the topic of designing a service delivery process. The context of the example you select is your choice. For example, it might be for a fast-food outlet, medical services, legal or other professional services. You will be assessed on how detailed your research and choice of processes are. The appropriate charting, mapping and tools of analysis should be adopted and explained. The case you use should be topical, relevant and well researched. The purpose of the process should be evident what does service success look like through the eyes of the customer? You should also make clear what theoretical underpinning supports your discussion, for example, resource based theory, dependency theory, institutional theory, agency theory, etc etc.
Assessment will be based on:
(1) how well you have completed background research to support the essay
(2) quality of the written paper
(3) depth and rigour of your critical discussion
(4) your final papers presentation (in terms of English, grammar, syntax and conformity to academic paper norms.
A process can be input a transformation or an output.
