The growing concern today around the world is how young people are moving away from participating in sporting activities many young people today are shunning sporting activities despite this is healthy (sportengland.com, 2014). Youths who participate in sports are more active than those who do not participate in any sporting activity. Despite the growing popularity, some distractors are pulling down the number of youths who are active in sports. Despite distractors, there are more positive impacts sports on the individual. These include benefits on general health, benefits on mental health, and disciplinary benefits.

Sport can make one happy to forget stressful situations or bad memories that can lead to depression.

In conclusion, benefits accrued to sport include better physical and mental health. Other benefits of sport include discipline among the youth. Youths who participated in a sporting activity are healthy and can live for a long. Adolescents who do through exercise through training cannot quickly get heart-related diseases. Sport can also relieve one from stress and often lead to sound sleep.
