Inter-Relatedness of Food and Other Cultural Elements
Directions
For this worksheet you will be creating a graphic organizer to illustrate the intersection of food and another cultural anthropology topic we have covered throughout the quarter.
Part 1 Graphic Organizer (“visual representation of knowledge” on a concept or topic (Bromley et al 1999)). The graphic organizer should include text, such as bullet points or short lines of text to highlight specific areas of overlap.
Part 2 After the graphic organizer is presented, students are required to include a brief, reflection (150 word minimum) that clarifies the graphic organizer in terms of your view of the overlap of food to the other cultural anthropology topic. Furthermore, your brief reflection must include references specifically to the required readings for the topics & our discussions of the topics. Direct quotes are not permitted.
Decision on Cultural Anthropology Topics
Anthropology of Food is the required topic. The second (or, if you wish, third) cultural anthropological topic is up to you.
Possible Avenues for Worksheet #5

You are welcome to use one of the articles that you read for an online discussion for this worksheet
