Part 2:
You must read and respond to two other students initial reaction post (100-word minimum each). The two additional reaction posts (from 2 other students) will be added to this assignment on Thursday and response must be posted by Saturday.

I would study the history of the country I would operating in up to current events. doing this, I would have a better understanding of their cultural values and their religious beliefs. I would want to make sure that I did not operate in a way that did not conform to their way of living. Their culture in a country sets the mind set of the people and the way they live (community based or individualism) and how they respond to outside businesses moving in. I would also learn the laws and regulations the country has and to understand what changes I would have to make to stay compliant and legal while operating the the country. I would look at infrastructure and pick an area that best accommodates to the companies need in terms of having the man power to operate, sending and receiving materials and goods, ect. I would study the trends that people like and compare to the current products or services I am offering so I would know what changes may need to be made to appeal to the consumer. Lastly, I would choose a strategy to compete in the country, when trying to use a standard product and making modifications to it to appeal to each country would be a glocalization strategy which my companies have had success when moving into a new country to expand globally.

To prepare myself for a global business paradigm, I have to look at how other countries are responding to the global market. I have to take into account that as we shift into a post-pandemic world, the normal capitalist strategy might not be as favorable considering I am also a part of the younger generation as well. Business values are important. Since the pandemic, according to GlobalTradeMag.com, the U.S. economy is expected to see a sharp recession for the first half of 2020. It has also stated that business bankruptcies are expected to increase by 25% and unemployment is expected to surpass 20%. One of the concepts I thought about was altruism. In business, altruism is building a relationship with your customers and giving charitable contributions to create an emotional connection with my company and customers. It is an act of selflessness, and I think it is important that during a global shift, I take different approaches to ensure that I am prepared.
