In this assignment, you will compare and contrast assessment and evaluation. You must complete the following:

Give an example, from classroom or online applications other than this course, of assessment, then compare and contrast that with an example of evaluation. Discuss the defining characteristics of each type, assessment and evaluation, and ways in which teachers and trainers use each one in instructional design and delivery.
Give examples of formative and summative assessment and discuss similarities and differences. Discuss the purposes of each type of assessment, during the instructional design process and during the delivery process.
Using examples, discuss similarities and differences between formative evaluation and summative evaluation. Discuss the purposes of each, and how teachers and trainers use them in practical settings. How are these two types used in the instructional design process? How are they used, and what issues can they help the instructor avoid or resolve during the delivery process? Provide examples to illustrate.
