The Peterson Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartison, private organization dedicated to the study of international trade (PIIE, 2018). They have an excellent website with lots of interesting information about trade, trade policy, globalization, etc.: https://piie.com/trade-talks
Your task for this forum is to go to the PIIE list of podcasts. Choose a podcast that interests you. This is a first come, first served assignment. In other words, once someone has created a primary post for a particular podcast, other students may not use that podcast for their primary post. No duplicate discussions.
First, listen to the podcast and summarize it in two paragraphs (roughly 300 words). What were the two or three main points the presenter was trying to make and what evidence supported their assertions? Then, do some critical thinking. Did you find the evidence presented to be credible? Why or why not? Can you find evidence to the contrary or additional evidence to support the ideas presented in the podcast?
