MIDLIFE CRISIS INTERVIEW
Interview three (3) people who are currently in middle adulthood (between 40 and
65). PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE THEIR REAL NAMES. Have them think about the kinds of
issues they dealt with (or will deal with) in their 40s and 50s. Interview these people using the following sets of questions:
For Each Person:
1.Age and Gender
2.What are some of the biological changes that occurred (or might occur) during middle adulthood?
3.What are some of the cognitive changes that occurred (or might occur) during middle adulthood?
4.What are some of the emotional changes that occurred (or might occur) during middle adulthood?
5.What are some of the social changes that occurred (or might occur) during middle adulthood?
6.What did you like (or expect to like) best about your 40s?
7.What did you like (or expect to like) least about your 40s?
After interviewing all three people, write a 4 page paper summarizing the similarities and differences between the three people. NO BULLETPOINTS. YOU MUST WRITE IN AN ESSAY FORMAT.
Answer the following questions in your summary: Do your interviews support the idea of a middle-life crisis? Why or why not? Explain your answer in an essay format.
