When Administrative healthcare professionals are knowledgeable with medical terms, planes, and regions of the human body it allows them to provide the patient with quality service. The healthcare profession would be able to explain to the patient minor details of their medical report pointing out specific areas of the body.

It seems as if anything that a person cannot personally identify with or easily understand is labeled as abnormal. If someone in an individual’s immediate family is dealing with or has some sort of close tie to unusual circumstances then the individual can be more understand and or sympathetic and does not immediately label the circumstances as abnormal or using other words with negative connotations. For example, as it relates to your comment about stigmas- service members who returned from the Vietnam War who struggled with life back “home” had a negative perception about them. Particularly people on the outside of that family were quick to assign a label- a negative one, without taking into account all the circumstances or even understanding the circumstances leading up to the end behavior. It was not until fairly recent- within the last 15 years that majority of citizens stopped assigning a stigma to service members who participated in the Vietnam War- because now the talking about post traumatic stress associated with war and seeking assistance is acceptable. The bottom line is education and raising awareness to alleviate ignorance and myths is what slowly breaks down stigmas.
