As the speaker discusses, shopping is decision making. Think about the times in your life where you have gone from undecided to decided. What information sources did you include to get to a place where you felt comfortable to say yes to that decision (purchase)?

The last purchase I did, was an apple monitor, this was 3 years ago. It’s a cheap monitor since it’s a product that Apple doesn’t make anymore, it is discontinued. but I still wanted to get the better deal out of it. So I started doing some research about the technology type the monitor is and what we have in the market these days. I visited numerous websites including second-hand use products since my budget was 60 dollars.
Doing my research, and comparing prices across the web, I found a very good option and I selected one as the main option for me to go for. But meanwhile doing my research, I found out that there was another monitor from apple which was better and had the camera built-in. So I did the same research I did the first time but now under another monitor’s model. But at the same time, I started the negotiation about the first option I had.
So at one point I found one of each model and I had the opportunity of choosing one because they both were at the same price. So I went for technology and selected the one that had the built-in camera. I always being a person who appreciates technology and its a driver for me. When the moment of truth came and I had to decide, I choose the one that wasn’t my first option, I choose the one that I discovered while doing my research and price benchmark.
