Find a topic withinthe Asian church that is of interest to you as you have a chance to browse through the Annals ofthe Propagation of the Faith (can be found on google book online through many volumes. The paper must be based on deep, extensive, and systematic reviewof books and academic articles in order to convey your mastery over the topic of your chosenchurch. Do not simply summarize what you read. The goal of this literature review is (1) todemonstrate your broad knowledge on your topic then (2) to synthesize the trends of currentresearches. Explain what is currently known and discussed about the specific topic you havechosen to study. It depends on your topic. Its literature may show a developing trend in theresearch, or it may demonstrate some conflicting perspectives in the field. Ideally, organize yourpaper according to a topical pattern rather than a chronological pattern. Limit your review of theliterature within a certain timeframe such as publications in the last five to ten years. Hi everyone, I have an assignments due on 4/16. It’s a complicated one. This is a Literature Review, 5 page minimum not counting bibliography, and I want the topic to focus on Christianity in Vietnam. You basically find out the topic in the “Annals of the Propagation of the Faith” book (the one i am looking at is volume 19-20, page 273-294, country Cochin-China (vietnam), but you can use any volume, as long as it is about Christianity in Vietnam) , and the topic you use from the book will be the primary souce. After that, you are going to research other secondary sources about that topic and reference what other authors, scholars, or group of scholars’ opnion about that topic (always write the name of the author in the essay).
6-7 scholars are requried. At least 1 encyclopedia souce and 1 from a book.
Please do not mention too much about Annals of the Propagation of the faith in this essay yet. It will be the next essay that is going to link it and this paper together.
