Key Concept from Chapter 13
I learned from this chapter its important to have full understanding of the regulatory laws the govern the sensitive issues relating to the les than freehold estate, also known as leasehold estate (pg. 435). California first passed the unruh civil rights act no discrimination in the business, including real estate agents services (pg. 437). I also learn the FEHA clearly defines discrimination as the refusal to sell, rent, or lease housing accommodations, including misrepresenting availability, offering inferior terms, and cancellations on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, and handicap (pg. 437).
Key Concept from Chapter 14
The second thing I learned is that property owners have a bundle of rights (p. 5). It means they have control of certain things because they own the real estate. Generally, people view it as a bundle of sticks, with each one of them being a right the owner has. Their types of rights vary based on their level of ownership. For example, homeowners have the right to possess (live in) their houses unless they rent out the house to tenants. In that case, the tenant now has the right to possess the house.
Key Concept from Chapter 13
I learned from Chapter 13 the selectin of property managers there are many important considerations to make when choosing the right manger (pg. 445). He or she should be selected as any other professional manager (pg. 445). As a manager, you should have skills and talent in handling people, money, and a diversity of other responsibilities (pg. 445).
Summary
These chapters are important because it talk about the leasing laws that are important when it come to your real estate rights. The chapter cover the management contract because you need to know your duties and responsibilities. These chapters also cover enforcement of real estate law which important in real estate
