Alta Cocina is targeted at Philadelphians who enjoy Latin cooking experiences. We help spread awareness of Latin cultures food to the Philadelphia community, specifically to people who want to experience that culture through eating and cooking. They are particularly interested in targeting university students because they tend to have an open mind of trying new things and frequently eat at food trucks.

There are competitors for our company, including other food trucks, fast food companies, and even restaurants. These are the major competitors for our company because Alta Cocina must offer an experience thats different than what competitors are already supplying, both at restaurants and food trucks. Food trucks have a loyal customer base and continuously get customers by word of mouth or by their presence in the food truck community. Fast food companies provide fast food for customers in a rush or who just need a quick bite. Restaurants cater to specific cuisines that they provide along with the physical experience of sitting down and eating in their curated atmosphere. Our company would need to be able to provide something different( which would be the Latin culture foods, cooking classes, and family-style cooking) and beat out the competitors with what they can provide and do it better.

Alta Cocina has to differentiate itself to compete with the other competition and grow. They will use their skills to provide high-quality Latin food, share their experience with others in the community, and teach others how to make the many different authentic Latin foods that are available.

Alta Cocina is important for community development. The goal of the organization is to bring people together over a meal and imbue in them a sense of togetherness & culture with their Latin cuisine. Overall, Alta Cocina hopes to promote a Latin experience that is meaningful to Philadelphia.
