Assignment No. 1 Intermediate Draft
(Please see) Word Docs named Research Proposal Performance Budgeting Does it Work
Your instructor will review and evaluate your first draft to provide you with feedback on editing it so you can submit your final paper. The draft should be about 50%-60 % of the final paper. The draft should include a reference page that lists a minimum of 10 references and demonstrate a few main ideas about how the paper is headed to include the following elements:
Identify different cultural, institutional, and economic drivers (or/and consequences) of the processes, institutions, and reforms
Read and interpret scholarly/professional sources and apply them to discuss potentially significant policy or management implications
Notes: As you revise your work, carefully review the feedback and comments
provided by the professors. These insights will help you improve your work and
ensure your final submission reflects the necessary adjustments.
For late submission, we will deduct 2 points for every day a paper is late. This policy
considers the additional responsibilities of faculty, such as a deadline for internal/final
grade submission, as well as the fact that assignments submitted after the deadline may
cause extra work for the instructor.
Assignment No. 2 Concept and Operation
See Attached Literature Review and Hypotheses
This is the third component of the research project for this course. In this section of the
research project, you need to outline the main concepts/variables used in your survey to
answer your research question. Please specify your dependent and independent
variables and how they will be operationalized (You do not have to write the survey
questions yet, just think which questions you could use to operationalize your main
concepts). This part of the research project should be up to 3 pages (double-spaced) in
length.
Specifically, you need to answer the following questions:
1. What is the dependent variable of your analysis, and how is it operationalized?
Please indicate if this variable is nominal, ordinal, interval, or ratio.
2. What are the independent (explanatory) variables, and how are they
operationalized? (You might have one main explanatory variable or many
explanatory variables). Please indicate if these variables are nominal, ordinal,
interval, or ratio.
3. Identify the control variables (i.e., other variables that might affect the behavior of
the dependent variable) and their operationalization. Generally, these variables are
associated with alternative explanations of the effect you study and control for these
“other” effects. Please indicate if each of these variables is nominal, ordinal, interval,
or ratio.
Ensure that you address all relevant concepts/variables you need to consider to answer
your research question
