Gun violence is a contemporary national public health challenge that needs immediate policy intervention. In your opinion, what are the major factors that have hindered the success of any serious gun violence control policy proposals in the U.S. Congress? What strategies do you believe can be taken to break the identified barriers? Discuss your views.

I believe more than half of the Americans want gun control and others think because they have the right to bear arms, they can own any gun they wish. So, let talk about stricter gun regulations. Because guns are getting into the wrong hands, (people with mental health issues, anger management issues, and people who simply have malice in their hearts). This country needs stricter gun control so there are fewer deaths, less violence, fewer accidents, fewer threats, and a safer feeling.
Why our country does not have stricter gun control. First, the National Rifle Association (NRA) is constantly pushing the 2nd Amendment rights over the lives of human beings. A people organization, people who are highly active and engaged on the gun issue because it is important for them to own guns, more important than saving lives. Next people, people with different perspectives and concepts on the role of government and guns.  People living in different environments, people hunting and fishing for a living or for fun. People who are not willing to take a stand or role in government laws. 
Personally, I do not want or need a gun, and guns do not kill people with guns kill. I do believe we need stricter gun control, gun-related violence in the United States of America this year alone is over 90,000. That is why we need stricter gun control.
