In the article, “Challenges and Opportunities for Improving Community College Student Success” (2010) by Sarah Goldrick-Sab, there is an emphasis on the quality of instruction at community college. According to the text, the quality of education at these institutions is one that is often debated. There are two major issues that exist that oppose a high level of education at community colleges: 1) the heterogeneity of the students. 2) the instruction for adults needs to integrate curriculum content with practical applications in entry level courses.
