Describe how organizations can overcome the geographic, cultural, and language challenges when seeking potential overseas suppliers. Give specific examples.
Decide how organizations can instill the same ethical standards in overseas suppliers, especially Asian suppliers.
Explain what other two (2) assessments, in addition to what is published in the Global Competitiveness Report, you might need to determine the risks and opportunities of an overseas supplier for your company or organization or institution. Expand on the value add of these two (2) assessments.
Labor Relations.
How strong are U.S. Teacher Unions? Research a recent (within last 2 years) collective bargaining attempt by the U.S. Teachers Union. Was it successful? Why or why not?
Respond to at least one of your classmates. If the collective bargaining attempt described was successful, do you think that teachers will ask for more in the future? If it wasn’t successful, how do you think the teachers will respond in future attempts?
