Review Chapters 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3 in the textbook and summarize what corporate culture is in your own words. Consider one of your own professional experiences. What was the organizational culture like? How would you categorize the corporate culture (ad-hoc, clan, hierarchy, market)? Why? How did the corporate culture align with the values outlined in Chapter 5.2? How did the organizational culture impact your perceptions and experiences at work?
Have you ever encountered any of the seven symptoms of the failure of ethical leadership outlined in Chapter 5.2? How was the situation handled? Chapter 5.4 outlines ethical frameworks used at the organizational level. If you could revisit the situation again, how could applying one of the ethical frameworks result in a more ethical outcome?
