Identify why students should learn about political science. Use evidence (cite sources) to support your response from assigned readings or online lessons, and at least one outside scholarly source.
Follow-Up Post Instructions
Respond to at least two peers or one peer and the instructor. Further the dialogue by providing more information and clarification. Minimum of 1 scholarly source, which can include your textbook or assigned readings or may be from your additional scholarly research.

Welcome to Week 1 Discussion! You may begin posting on Monday, October 28th, 2019 for credit. This week, we will be discussing why we study political science.
Politics, which is the process we use to select our leaders and the policies implemented, is taking place around us daily. Think about how the study of political science can influence our understanding about politics and our potential involvement in our political system.
Along with your textbook reading for the week, here is an additional reading to consider about politics and the study of political science:

Remember to use an outside scholarly source in the initial post and evidence from the assigned readings or lessons. The initial post must be completed on or before Wednesday. Each of the follow-up posts must include a scholarly source as well. Dont forget to look over the instructions and the discussion rubric as a reference when you are writing your discussion posts.
