RESEARCH PAPER PREMISE “ The business community requires transparent reports to ensure that decisions are not based on materially misstated financial statements. Corporate managers, auditors, board of directors and regulatory agencies are increasingly required to detect and prevent potential frauds.
Write a term paper outlining a significant incident of financial fraud in the business community.  Detail the fraudulent financial statement anatomy (if research identifies same), its factors, motivations, antecedents and the impact upon those most affected by the financial fraud.  Detail how the knowledge of the aforementioned can improve our detection and prevention ability in a timely, cost effective manner.
The research paper should be broken down into 3 areas specific to your case: insights, practice implications and prospective fraud prevention.

·  The final output must be a minimum of 7 pages exclusive of references and follow either MLA or APA guidelines: double spaced and in a standard academic font – either Times New Roman or Cambria, in 12pt size.
