The Academic Journal Article Critique Assignment is designed to identify and assess an issue or problem that is relevant to the course topic. For this assignment, students will select a relevant academic article from a peer-reviewed journal and critically analyze the authors viewpoint to include a succinct critique of the theories and/or practices described in the article. The main goal is to show whether or not the author(s) provided reasonable arguments and facts for his or her main points. The selected peer-reviewed article under review should be published within the last 10 years. The Academic Journal Article Critique Assignment will consist of at least 1,000 words (excluding title page, references, figures, illustrations, or other extraneous elements outside the main body of the paper). Students will format their paper using 12-point Times New Roman font, one-inch margins, and double spacing. Students will use at least 2 references (Wikipedia CANNOT be used as a reference). APA format.
